Module 9.3 Mucosal Immunity

Module objectives

Study of the mucosa-associated immune system and anti-infectious mucosal immunity.

Methodological and technical skills acquired

This module will bring theoretical knowledge on peculiarities of the mucosa-associated immune system in the context of viral, parasitic or bacterial infections or of inflammations. Interactions between the intestinal microbiota with the host and its consequences on the maturation of the immune system and the preservation of intestinal homeostasis will also be studied.

  • Control of infections by IgA (HIV).
